RIP Leslie Esdaile Banks 1959-2011
We have lost an excellent writer and woman of substance. Leslie Esdaile Banks also known as L.A Banks has passed into the light. My heart goes out to her family and Street Team. We support you and mourn with you.
For those of you not familiar with Leslie’s fine work, check out the Neteru series for her interesting take on vampires, angels and werewolves. The Neteru series was the first place I saw people of all creeds and races represented and working together. Where the magical workings seemed believable. Her execution of the knife edge that people walk was exquisite. She showed how the good can go bad and the bad can become good. How intentions can doom even the best works or make sanctified the worst. What did I like about Leslie’s writing? Her ability to make me think.. to examine the “truths” I am sure of. I will miss her writing greatly. I will miss her presence on her fan site. I will miss her warm , big sis posts. Walk in the Light my sister until we meet again.
